We are seeking an M.D. pathologist with board certification or board eligibility in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology to direct The company's CLIA-certified histopathology and clinical chemistry laboratories. The histopathology laboratory performs immunohistochemistry analysis for specific tumor markers, and histopathology processing of tumor tissue for molecular profiling and analysis using nucleic acid-based methods. The clinical chemistry laboratory performs a therapeutic drug monitoring test for the chemotherapy drug 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU). The lab director responsibilities will include the oversight of personnel, quality systems, and the review and reporting of test results in The company's histopathology and clinical chemistry laboratories. The director of these CLIA-certified laboratories will interact closely with the company's research pathologist and scientists in the development, validation and implementation of new assays. The successful candidate will combine his or her expertise in pathology, excellent communication skills, and energetic leadership to oversee and expand a growing menu of tissue-based tests for predictive and personalized medicine in the field of molecular oncology.
